2 Chronicles 11

And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of Judah and Benjamin an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.

రెహబాము యెరూషలేముకు వచ్చిన తరవాత అతడు ఇశ్రాయేలు వారితో యుద్ధం చేసి, రాజ్యాన్ని తిరిగి సంపాదించుకోడానికి యూదావారిలో నుండీ బెన్యామీనీయుల్లో నుండీ ఎన్నిక చేసిన 1, 80,000 మంది సైనికులను సమకూర్చాడు.

But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

అయితే దేవుని మనిషి షెమయాకు యెహోవా వాక్కు ప్రత్యక్షమై ఈ విధంగా చెప్పాడు,

Speak unto Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,

“నువ్వు వెళ్ళి యూదారాజు, సొలొమోను కొడుకు అయిన రెహబాముతో, యూదాలో, బెన్యామీనీయుల ప్రాంతంలో ఉండే ఇశ్రాయేలు వారందరితో ఈ మాట చెప్పు,

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.

‘ఇదంతా ఈ విధంగా జరిగేలా చేసింది నేనే’ అని యెహోవా సెలవిస్తున్నాడు కాబట్టి మీ ఉత్తరలో ఉన్న యూదా సోదరులతో యుద్ధం చేయడానికి బయలు దేరకుండా మీరంతా మీ మీ ఇళ్ళకి తిరిగి వెళ్ళండి.” కాబట్టి వారు యెహోవా మాట విని యరొబాముతో యుద్ధం చేయడం మానేసి తిరిగి వెళ్లిపోయారు.

He built even Beth-lehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,

అతడు బేత్లెహేము, ఏతాము, తెకోవ,

And Beth-zur, and Shoco, and Adullam,

బేత్సూరు, శోకో, అదుల్లాము,

And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,

గాతు, మారేషా, జీఫు,

And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,

అదోరయీము, లాకీషు, అజేకా,

And Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin fenced cities.

జొర్యా, అయ్యాలోను, హెబ్రోను అనే యూదా, బెన్యామీను ప్రదేశాల్లో ప్రాకారాలు కట్టించాడు.

And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store of victual, and of oil and wine.

అతడు కోట దుర్గాలను దృఢంగా చేసి, వాటిలో సైన్యాధికారులను ఉంచి, వారికి ఆహారం, నూనె, ద్రాక్షారసం ఏర్పాటు చేశాడు.

And in every several city he put shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.

వాటిలో డాళ్ళు, శూలాలు ఉంచి ఆ పట్టణాలను శక్తివంతంగా తయారు చేశాడు. యూదా వారు, బెన్యామీనీయులు అతని వైపు నిలబడ్డారు.

For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest’s office unto the LORD:

యరొబాము, అతని కుమారులు యెహోవాకు యాజక సేవ జరగకుండా లేవీయులను త్రోసివేయడం వలన వారు తమ గ్రామాలూ, ఆస్తులూ విడిచిపెట్టి, యూదా దేశానికి, యెరూషలేముకు వచ్చారు.

And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.

యరొబాము బలిపీఠాలకు దయ్యాలకు తాను చేయించిన దూడవిగ్రహాలకు యాజకులను నియమించుకున్నాడు.

And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.

ఇలా ఉండగా ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల గోత్రాలన్నిటిలో తమ దేవుడైన యెహోవాను వెదకడానికి తమ మనస్సులో నిర్ణయించుకున్నవారు కొందరు ఉన్నారు. వారు తమ పూర్వీకుల దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు బలులర్పించడానికి యెరూషలేముకు వచ్చారు.

So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah, and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong, three years: for three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.

వారు మూడు సంవత్సరాలు దావీదు, సొలొమోను నడిచిన మార్గాన్నే అనుసరించారు. ఆ మూడు సంవత్సరాలూ వారు యూదా రాజ్యాన్ని బలపరచి సొలొమోను కొడుకు రెహబాముకు సహాయం చేశారు.

Which bare him children; Jeush, and Shamariah, and Zaham.

అతనికి యూషు, షెమర్యా, జహము అనే కొడుకులు పుట్టారు.

And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.

తరవాత అతడు అబ్షాలోము కుమార్తె మయకాను పెళ్ళి చేసుకున్నాడు. ఆమె ద్వారా అతనికి అబీయా, అత్తయి, జీజా, షెలోమీతులు పుట్టారు.

And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines; and begat twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)

రెహబాముకు 18 మంది భార్యలు 60 మంది ఉపపత్నులు ఉన్నారు. అతనికి 28 మంది కుమారులు, 60 మంది కుమార్తెలు ఉన్నారు. అయితే తన భార్యలందరిలో ఉపపత్నులందరిలో అబ్షాలోము కుమార్తె మయకాను అతడు ఎక్కువగా ప్రేమించాడు.

And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.

రెహబాము మయకాకు పుట్టిన అబీయాను రాజుగా చేయాలని ఆలోచించి, అతని సోదరుల మీద ప్రధానిగా, అధిపతిగా అతణ్ణి నియమించాడు.

And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his children throughout all the countries of Judah and Benjamin, unto every fenced city: and he gave them victual in abundance. And he desired many wives.

అతడు మంచి మెలకువతో పరిపాలించాడు. తన కుమారుల్లో మిగిలిన వారిని అతడు యూదా, బెన్యామీనులకు చెందిన ప్రదేశాల్లోని ప్రాకార పురాల్లో అధిపతులుగా నియమించి వారికి విస్తారమైన ఆస్తినిచ్చి వారికి పెళ్ళిళ్ళు చేశాడు.
