“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16 · KJV
Admit your sin
The Bible tells us that we have all sinned and need God’s forgiveness. We begin by honestly acknowledging our need before Him.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Romans 3:23 · KJV
Abandon your own efforts
Salvation is God’s gift. Our good works cannot take away our sin or earn His forgiveness.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8–9 · KJV
Acknowledge what Christ has done
The Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again. God has shown His love for us through Him.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8 · KJV
Receive the Lord Jesus Christ
Turn to the Lord, confess your sin, and place your trust in Him. Speak to Him sincerely in prayer.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
John 1:12 · KJV
