1 Corinthians 12

Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

సోదరీ సోదరులారా, ఆత్మవరాలను గూర్చి మీకు తెలియకుండా ఉండడం నాకిష్టం లేదు.

Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

పూర్వం మీరు అవిశ్వాసులుగా ఉన్నప్పుడు ఎటుబడితే అటు కొట్టుకుపోతూ మూగవిగ్రహాలను ఆరాధించేవారని మీకు తెలుసు.

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

అందుచేత నేను మీతో చెప్పేదేమంటే, దేవుని ఆత్మ వలన మాట్లాడే వారెవరూ, “యేసు శాపగ్రస్తుడు” అని చెప్పరు. అలాగే పరిశుద్ధాత్మ వలన తప్ప ఎవరూ, “యేసే ప్రభువు” అని చెప్పలేరు.

Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

దేవుని ఆత్మ ఒక్కడే గాని ఆయన అనుగ్రహించే కృపావరాలు వేరు వేరు.

And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

అలాగే ప్రభువు ఒక్కడే గాని పరిచర్యలు వేరు వేరు విధాలు.

And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

వేరు వేరు కార్యాలు ఉన్నాయి గాని అందరిలో, అన్నిటినీ జరిగించే దేవుడు ఒక్కడే.

But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

అందరి ప్రయోజనం కోసం ప్రతి ఒక్కడికీ ఆత్మ తన ప్రత్యక్షతను అనుగ్రహిస్తున్నాడు.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

ఎలా అంటే, ఒకే ఆత్మ ఒకడికి బుద్ధి వాక్కు, ఒకడికి జ్ఞాన వాక్కు,

To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

మరొకడికి విశ్వాసం, మరొకడికి స్వస్థత వరం ఇస్తాడు.

To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

ఆ ఆత్మే ఒకడికి అద్భుతాలు చేసే శక్తి, మరొకడికి ప్రవచనాలు పలికే శక్తి, మరొకడికి ఆత్మలను గుర్తించే శక్తి, మరొకడికి వివిధ రకాల భాషలు మాట్లాడే సామర్ధ్యం, మరొకడికి ఆ భాషల అర్థం చెప్పే శక్తి అనుగ్రహిస్తున్నాడు.

But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

ఆ ఆత్మ ఒక్కడే ఇవన్నీ చేస్తూ తనకు నచ్చినట్టు ఒక్కొక్కరికి ప్రత్యేకంగా పంచిపెడుతున్నాడు.

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

శరీరం ఒక్కటే, అందులో అనేక అవయవాలు ఉన్నాయి. అవన్నీ ఒకే శరీరంలో అవయవాలైనా శరీరం ఒకటే. క్రీస్తు కూడా అలానే ఉన్నాడు.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

ఎలాగంటే, యూదులైనా, గ్రీకులైనా, దాసులైనా, స్వతంత్రులైనా, మనమంతా ఒక్క శరీరంలోకి ఒక్క ఆత్మలోనే బాప్తిసం పొందాం. మనమంతా ఒకే ఆత్మను పానం చేశాం.

For the body is not one member, but many.

శరీరం అంటే ఒక్క అవయవమే కాదు, అది అనేక అవయవాలతో ఉంది.

If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

పాదం ‘నేను చేతిని కాదు కాబట్టి శరీరంతో నాకు సంబంధం లేదు’ అని చెప్పినంత మాత్రాన అది శరీరంలో భాగం కాకుండా పోదు.

And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

అలాగే చెవి ‘నేను కన్ను కాదు కాబట్టి శరీరంతో నాకు సంబంధం లేదు’ అని చెప్పినంత మాత్రాన అది శరీరంలో భాగం కాకుండా పోదు.

If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

శరీరమంతా ఒక్క కన్నే ఉంటే ఇక వినడం ఎలా? శరీరమంతా ఒక్క చెవే అయితే వాసన ఎలా చూడాలి?

But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

అందుకే దేవుడు ప్రతి అవయవాన్నీ తన ఇష్టం ప్రకారం శరీరంలో ఉంచాడు.

And if they were all one member, where were the body?

అవన్నీ ఒకే అవయవం అయితే శరీరమేది?

But now are they many members, yet but one body.

అయితే ఇప్పుడు అవయవాలు అనేకం, శరీరం మాత్రం ఒక్కటే.

And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

కాబట్టి కన్ను చేతితో, “నీవు నాకక్కర లేదు” అనీ, తల పాదాలతో, “మీరు నాకక్కర లేదు” అనీ చెప్పడానికి వీలు లేదు.

Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

అంతేకాక, శరీరంలో బలహీనంగా కనిపించే అవయవాలు ఎక్కువ అవసరమైనవి.

And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

శరీరంలో ఘనత లేనివని తలంచే అవయవాలను మరి ఎక్కువగా ఘనపరుస్తాం. అందం లేదని తలచే అవయవాలకు ఎక్కువ అందాన్ని కలిగిస్తాం.

For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

ఈ అనువాదపు పాఠంలో ఈ వచనం లేదు.

That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

కాబట్టి ఒక అవయవం బాధపడితే మిగిలిన అవయవాలన్నీ దానితో కలిసి బాధపడతాయి. ఒకటి ఘనత పొందితే అవయవాలన్నీ దానితో కలిసి సంతోషిస్తాయి.

Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

మీరు క్రీస్తు శరీరం. మీలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ ఆ శరీరానికి చెందిన భాగాలు.

And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

దేవుడు సంఘంలో మొదటి స్థానంలో అపొస్తలులను, రెండవ స్థానంలో ప్రవక్తలను, మూడవ స్థానంలో ఉపదేశకులను, ఆ తర్వాత అద్భుతాలు చేసేవారిని, ఆ తర్వాత స్వస్థత వరం గలవారిని, ఉపకారాలు చేసేవారిని, కార్యాలు పర్యవేక్షించేవారిని, వివిధ భాషలు మాట్లాడేవారిని నియమించాడు.

Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

అందరూ అపొస్తలులు కారు, అందరూ ప్రవక్తలు కారు, అందరూ బోధకులు కారు, అందరూ అద్భుతాలు చేయరు.

Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

అందరికీ స్వస్థత వరం లేదు. అందరూ భాషలతో మాట్లాడరు, అందరూ భాషల అర్థం చెప్పలేరు.

But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

కృపావరాల్లో శ్రేష్ఠమైన వాటిని ఆసక్తితో కోరుకోండి. అయితే నేను వీటన్నిటికీ మించిన సర్వ శ్రేష్ఠ మార్గాన్ని మీకు చూపిస్తాను.
