Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
మానవమాత్రులు దేవునికి ప్రయోజనకారులౌతారా? కారు. బుద్ధిమంతులు తమ మట్టుకు తామే ప్రయోజనకారులు.
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?
నువ్వు నీతిమంతుడివై ఉండడం సర్వశక్తుడైన దేవునికి సంతోషమా? నువ్వు యథార్థవంతుడివై ప్రవర్తించడం ఆయనకు లాభకరమా?
Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
ఆయన పట్ల భయభక్తులు కలిగి ఉన్నందువల్ల ఆయన నిన్ను గద్దిస్తాడా? నీ భయభక్తులను బట్టి ఆయన నీతో వ్యాజ్యెమాడుతాడా?
Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?
నీ చెడుతనం గొప్పది కాదా? నీ దోషాలు మితి లేనివి కావా?
For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
ఏమీ ఇవ్వకుండానే నీ సోదరుల దగ్గర నువ్వు తాకట్టు పెట్టుకున్నావు. వస్త్ర హీనుల బట్టలు తీసుకున్నావు.
Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.
దాహంతో సొమ్మసిల్లిన వారికి నీళ్లియ్యలేదు. ఆకలిగొన్న వాడికి అన్నం పెట్టలేదు.
But as for the mighty man, he had the earth; and the honourable man dwelt in it.
బాహుబలం గల వాడికే భూమి లభిస్తుంది. గొప్పవాడు అనిపించుకున్న వాడు దానిలో నివసిస్తాడు.
Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the fatherless have been broken.
వితంతువులను వట్టి చేతులతో పంపివేశావు. తండ్రి లేనివారి చేతులు విరగ్గొట్టావు.
Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
అందుకే బోనులు నిన్ను చుట్టుముడుతున్నాయి. అకస్మాత్తుగా కలిగే భీతి నిన్ను హడలగొడుతున్నది.
Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.
నిన్ను చిక్కించుకొన్న అంధకారాన్ని నువ్వు చూడడం లేదా? నిన్ను ముంచెత్తబోతున్న ప్రళయ జలాలను నువ్వు చూడడం లేదా?
Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
దేవుడు ఆకాశమంత మహోన్నతుడు కాడా? నక్షత్రాల ఔన్నత్యాన్ని చూడు. అవి ఎంత ఎత్తులో ఉన్నాయి!
And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
“దేవుడికి ఏమి తెలుసు? గాఢాంధకారంలోనుండి ఆయన న్యాయం కనుగొంటాడా?
Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.
దట్టమైన మేఘాలు ఆయనకు అడ్డుగా ఉన్నాయి. ఆయన మనలను చూడలేడు. ఆకాశ గోపురంలో ఆయన తిరుగుతున్నాడు” అని నీవనుకుంటావు.
Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
పూర్వకాలం నుండి దుష్టులు అనుసరించిన మార్గాన్ని నువ్వు అనుసరిస్తావా?
Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
తమ కాలం రాకముందే వారు హటాత్తుగా నిర్మూలమైపోయారు. వారి పునాదులు నదీ ప్రవాహలవలె కొట్టుకు పోయాయి.
Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
“మా దగ్గర నుండి తొలగి పో” అని దేవునితో అంటారు. “సర్వశక్తుడు మాకు ఏమి చేస్తాడులే” అంటారు.
Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.
అయినా ఆయన మంచి పదార్థాలతో వారి ఇళ్ళు నింపాడు. భక్తిహీనుల ఆలోచన నాకు దూరం అగు గాక.
The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.
నీతిమంతులు దాన్ని చూసి సంతోషిస్తారు. నిర్దోషులు వారిని హేళన చేస్తారు.
Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
“మన విరోధులు నిశ్చయంగా నిర్మూలమైపోయారు. వారి సంపదను అగ్ని కాల్చివేసింది” అంటారు.
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
ఆయనతో సహవాసం చేస్తే నీకు శాంతిసమాధానాలు కలుగుతాయి. ఆ విధంగా నీకు మేలు కలుగుతుంది.
Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
ఆయన నోటి నుండి వచ్చే ఉపదేశాన్ని అవలంబించు. ఆయన మాటలను నీ హృదయంలో ఉంచుకో.
If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
సర్వశక్తుని వైపు తిరిగి నీ నివాసాల్లో నుండి దుర్మార్గాన్ని దూరంగా తొలగిస్తే నువ్వు అభివృద్ధి పొందుతావు.
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
మట్టిలో నీ సిరిసంపదలను, సెలయేటి నీటిలో ఓఫీరు బంగారాన్ని పారవెయ్యి.
Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తుడు నీకు సువర్ణంగాను ప్రశస్తమైన వెండిగాను ఉంటాడు.
For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
అప్పుడు సర్వశక్తునిలో నువ్వు ఆనందిస్తావు. దేవుని వైపు నీ ముఖం ఎత్తుతావు.
Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
నువ్వు ఆయనకు ప్రార్థన చేయగా ఆయన నీ మనవి ఆలకిస్తాడు. నీ మొక్కుబళ్లు నువ్వు చెల్లిస్తావు.
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
నువ్వు దేనినైనా ఆలోచన చేస్తే అది నీకు స్థిరపడుతుంది. నీ మార్గాలపై వెలుగు ప్రకాశిస్తుంది.
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
దేవుడు గర్విష్టులను వంచుతాడు. కళ్ళు దించుకునే వారిని కాపాడతాడు.
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
నిర్దోషి కానివాడినైనా ఆయన విడిపిస్తాడు. అతడు నీ చేతుల శుద్ధి మూలంగా విడుదల పొందుతాడు.
